|  | Product Description: Fits: 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 FREE SHIPPING! For those F-Body owners who wish to remove their factory EGR
valve (1998-2000 models only) and air-pump assembly, SLP now
offers this revised long-tube header package. These headers are
functionally identical to our original tuned-length LS1 long tubes
but lack the stock emissions-equipment provisions. Removing these
items and their attendant hardware reduces weight, frees up under-hood
space, minimizes the likelihood of exhaust leakage, stops annoying
check-valve clicking, and makes for a cleaner appearance in the engine
compartment. (1998-2000 models will also require our #30039 High-Performance
C5/LS6 Intake Manifold, which, unlike the factory intake, is not equipped
with an EGR-valve provision.) Gains of up to 41 horsepower and 58 lb.-ft.
of torque are possible, depending on your application! These headers are
constructed from 409 stainless steel and feature 1-3/4" primary tubes flowing
into a 3" 4-into-1 collector.
NOTES: These headers are required when installing one of our
head-and-cam packages. Engine-package customers with 1998-2000
F-Bodies must also use intake manifold #30039. Requires Installation
Kit #30054. Automatic-transmission-equipped convertibles will also
require Crossbrace Kit #30055. Not legal for use on pollution-controlled
motor vehicles.
SLP Tuned-Length Long-Tube F-Body Headers:
