| Now available from SLP, AutoTap allows you to
diagnose even the most elusive engine problems in your
1996-2002 OBD II-equipped car or light truck. Working in
conjunction with your personal computer, AutoTap shows
the condition of more than 100 vehicle components
through a complete, professional-style set of stored and
real-time diagnostic readouts. This information can be
invaluable, whether you're making the repairs yourself
or just want to make sure your repair shop is on the
right track.
AutoTap is capable of providing
continuously updated, real-time readings while you
drive. You can save these readings to a file on your
computer to track those annoying intermittent problems
that always seem to disappear as soon as you reach the
shop. You can even use the AutoTap scanner to read
"freeze-frame" readings captured the moment the "Check
Engine" light illuminates. No more guessing what the
problem is!
AutoTap can also provide the
information you need to get maximum horsepower from your
engine. It can specify which gas is best for foiling
power-robbing knock sensors, help you determine the
optimum pulse width for your fuel injectors, or track
misfires to a specific cylinder. You can even log data
from each drag-strip pass to ensure that your engine
settings and shift points are calibrated properly for
the lowest possible ETs.
AutoTap includes a 4'
cable that connects to your vehicle's OBD II jack and a
6' cable that connects to your PC. Your vehicle provides
AutoTap with data for 100-140 sensor readings; a
Select/Delete feature allows you to choose which ones
are important to you. A data-logging feature allows you
to capture a series of readings and transfer them to a
spreadsheet for charting or analysis. Once repairs are
made, AutoTap lets you clear the old trouble codes.
